Answers to the questions people ask about the website or myself. No, it isn't common.
Q: Why isn't the "s"in "subscribe" capitalized on the navigation bar?
A: Because I don't want to pressure you.
Q: What are some articles labeled "Deep Scrub"?
A: These articles are essentially reviews of unreleased games. Rather than promise you sweet nothings because there is technically still time to make some changes, we consider how far the title is in the development process and relate that to what we can see, hear, and usually play. In effect this gives us pretty solid idea of how a game will likely turn out once released, but considering the imprecise nature of this system, a Deep Scrub will not ever be our final word on the product.
Q: Why are you inconsistent with the way you capitalize "fortytwo points"? And why don't you use a hyphen between forty and two?
A: Proper grammar is important to me, but only so that it can help me convey my message accurately. In that regard, it is not necessary to spell fortytwo points per the norm.
The real reason I have chosen to NOT capitalize fortytwo points, though, is because the name of the site or any product I may ever produce will never matter as much as the quality of the product itself. In this day and age branding sometimes seems more important than the branded object itself, and I do not agree with the practice. I do not care if you know the name of the site, only that you enjoy the content. So, I have downplayed the names importance. However, I will capitalize Fortytwo Points (like that) at the beginning of a sentence, as it retains consistency and frankly, simply looks better.
The hyphen was removed because I did not want to necessitate it in the URL, and I hope it makes typing the name a bit easier. For consistency, I applied this rule to all forms of the name's use. The proper name and spelling is and will always be "fortytwo points". No hyphen, no caps.
