Oh, massively multiplayer games. What a let down you have been. No one loves adventures games more than I and when you say that you're making a game that has massive explorable environments, exciting quests, action galore, and hundreds to thousands of people to play it all with, then you sir or ma'am have my attention. Unfortunately most MMOs suffer from a tendency to be little more than repetitive hit-trading stat-superiority games where you're better if you have more time or money to invest, not because your skills are excellent. That's just my opinion of course.

Every time one comes out though I am reeled back in by the desperate hope that something will finally break that stereotypical monotony and give me control of my gaming experience again. Callipygian Games' Secondhand Lands is not that game, but it is one that excels in charm. Based on the fairy tales many children grew up with like Little Bo Peep and Red Riding Hood, Secondhand Lands takes place in their world and has you picking sides between either Bo Peep's sheepy forces of good or Riding Hood's malicious wolves of evil. Caught amidst the fray are the Scrappers, tiny bipedal anthropomorphs who have no interest in fighting and the bard-like "Catgirls", who are just that; half-cat half-girl who sing and dance to assist their teammates.
